The 2010 festival is expected to have the same rush. The concert series will be held in Valencia, Spain. It begins July 15h and runs through July 20th.
Some of the key performers and artists already on the bill are Kasabian–the hottest British rockers known all around the world.

Kasabian is a british rock group that has earned its fame and fan-fare through hard work and extreme talent. They are a British alternative rock band that formed in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire in 1999. The band members include: Tom Meighan–lead vocals, Sergio Pizzorno–guitar and backing vocals, Chris Edwards–bass, and Ian Matthews–drums. The band used to be called Saracuse. The band members all started recording while they were attending school at Counesthorpe Community College. Their first songs were inspired by The Stone Roses. The band’s first public jam was at the Vipers Rugby Club–where Chris was celebrating his 18th birthday. That night was their beginning–they were spotted and admiring fans could not stop talking about their performance. The band soon after changed their name to Kasabian. The name ‘Kasabian’ was named after Linda Kasabian, who was a member of the Charles Manson cult. She was known as his getaway driver. The former band’s guitarist, Chris Karloff, had heard of the name, and it stuck–giving the british rockers their new name.

The band have released three studio albums–Kasabian(2004), Empire(2006), and West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum(2009). While the band was producing its first album, they chose to live in a rural area, in a farmhouse, so they would be away from all distractions and interruptions. “Club Foot” was their first single that gave them fame on the singles charts and is performed at many concert performances. It was the theme song also, in the movies “Guardian” and “Goal!”

Breaking news about Kasabian–just announced May 10, 2010–Kasabian is finishing work on their fourth album. It is being produced in a San Fransisco, CA studio. No other information is yet available, but it is believed to be the band’s best work. Sergio Pizzorno, the guitarist, is also writing the lyrics. It is highly anticipated to be a chart buster. The Benicassim Festival 2010 is an event where Kasabian will wow the crowds.
